Tourism in Malaysia has recently being boosted with the introduction of Kuala Lumpur Hop On-Hop Off Bus where you will be able to hop on and off the specially designed buses for unlimited times. You just need to pay once and the ticket purchased will be valid for 24 hours or 48 hours depending on the type of ticket you purchased.
The double decker tour buses are equipped with English audio pre-recorded tour commentary of the city as they move around the different parts of the city. There are 3 monitor screens provided for your viewing and the facilities are disabled-friendly as well.
Trishaws are still being used in some parts of Malaysia such as Melaka and Penang.

There are altogether 30 stops and over 60 attractions that you can visit using the hop-on hop-off bus. If you have the time, why not sit through the entire journey of the bus and listen to the commentary in your own language. It will take you 3 hours to go though the tour of Kuala Lumpur without getting down the bus.
Once you are familiar with the places of interest, you can then plan where to get down and visit the many attractions in the city. Make sure that you wait at the bus stops which have the hop on-hop off logo as the buses will make their stop here.
